A race update from the World Rowing Masters Regatta at Lake Bled, Slovenia 🇸🇮
Newark RC enjoyed a fabulous week of racing across all boat classes from Masters A to G. Despite the weathers best efforts in the early part of the regatta, the NWK contingent performed brilliantly in their races.
Jen Titterington was our stand out member, winning 4 Gold medals (WMasA 1x, WMasA 2-, WMasA 8+, MxMasA 4x). Graham Price continued to win at the highest level in masters rowing, coming away with wins in MasF4-, MasG2- and MasF8+.
Ed Bradley and Ashley Cowley also joined Graham in the victorious MasF 8+, with Ash also racing and winning the MxMasA 4x.
Rhona Price had a storming 2nd place in the mixed double with Graham, beating a long term rival crew from Germany in the process.
Nick Poulson and Paul Miley made their world masters debut and produced a range of commendable results across all boat classes.
Seven wins for Newark RC matches the clubs best at the World Rowing Masters Championships. A fantastic performance from everyone involved.
