Wow! What a fantastic week!
Massive congratulations to Jen & Issy, who successfully qualified for the regatta into the Stonor Challenge Cup.
They had a fantastic race in the first round was up against the double from Upper Thames. Jen and Issy came back from 2 lengths down and gave it everything to close the gap to just a 1/3 of a length at the line. We are so proud of what they have achieved this week!!
Big thank you to @ash_cowley_ for his hard work, support and time that went into coaching this double. It’s been amazing to see what they can achieve in a short amount of time!!
We are also incredibly proud of our Newark Alumni, who all had some fantastic racing.
⭐️ Lucas Bowes (Newcastle University BC) reached the final of the Prince Albert Challenge Cup, narrowly missing out to Imperial BC by just 1 length.
⭐️ Emma Joy (Oxford Brookes University BC) raced in the Temple Challenge Cup and was beaten in the SF by the eventual winners CUBC, by just 1 1/2 lengths.
⭐️ Laura Bates (London RC) raced in the Danesfield Challenge Cup, where they lost in the QF by 4 1/2 lengths to the eventual winners MBC.
A huge, huge well done to everyone who raced and represented the club so well at such a big event.
