Ghent Spring International Regatta

Day 1

A brilliant day out for our small contingent that are racing in Ghent.

Kate Cawley won the Masters singles Handicap event! Ash Cowley recorded the fastest raw time in the event, but was handicapped to 9th.

Jen Titterington and Emily Jackson won silver in the senior women’s double sculls event. Jen then went on to place 4th in women’s singles, but finished as the fastest domestic sculler in the field, coming in behind three members of the Belgium Olympic team.

A great days racing.

Day 2

More successful for our small squad out in Belgium today.

Kate Cawley and Ash Cowley were the fastest mixed double and finished 6th in the Masters handicap event.

Jen Titterington continued her strong performances in the single, placing 4th, once again as the fastest non Olympic squad sculler.

Kate Cawley and Jen Titterington the rounded off the day with a close silver in the Women’s 2x.

1 Gold and 2 silvers over the weekend is a great medal collection from our members. Well done 👏
